How's It Feel For Students

For an elementary student there is apt to be no real difference in the feeling of a school day. There is a more uniform documentation of progress and growth, but the student is not apt to pick up on the subtle differences that are a result. A sensitive student might pick up on how well the teacher understands them right from the beginning of the year, but the typical student won't.

In middle school years a student who comes from another school would quickly sense the difference of an Intentional School on a number of fronts. The most obvious difference will be that brought about by technology. The student will be using the computer as one of the tools to facilitate her learning. At this stage she will have access to the school portal for the first time which gives her access to a record of what she is learning at school as well as her performance.

In the high school the experience is also uniquely different. Apart from the technology component that a laptop school experience brings to a student, the ability to see where in a learning continuum he is will be an obvious change for high school students. It brings the opportunity for a student to monitor his performance daily instead of just at progress report time.
